My dad's apple cider burns on its way down. It warms you up and brightens the eyes, so that all the lights gleam. The hissing spicy steam of boiling cider lures you like a butterfly to nectar. With an unexpectedly mellow introduction, the golden red hue invites one chill-thawing sip, then another. The warmth bleeding through the mug snuggled in your hands soothes a frozen soul stumbling in from the cold. And ah, what a smell, spiced sweetness, apples in their prime. It tingles and stings down your throat, settles warm in your stomach, and draws your eyelids down heavy to sleep.

One fine day in early Spring, I was delighted to discover a small group of travelers passing through my home. I drifted close on a breeze to watch them as they walked, and giggled at their fascination. Having learned a little of their speech from previous travelers, I understood enough to know that they thought this the most beautiful forest any had ever seen. Wow has it been that long? yeah i guess so. i thought i should post something just cuz this is such a big change. life is so crazy and wonderful that i don't even know what to say. i miss my friends and my home, but i've barely been here a week and already i've made new friends and turned this space into a home-away- from-home. not that i won't want to come back, i'm just experiencing this adventure right now. For some reason i feel old, like i'm starting to understand my mom or something. i'm beginning to see things from a different point of view, understand things in a different way than when my life was a shiny bubble of protection within

Yay Spring!

Wishes really do come true! ;) It's warm outside and i'm in short sleeves and sandals and it feels great! I got to be outside a lot this week, too, touring colleges and walking around little college towns. Unfortunately i was a bit, ehem, under the weather, for a couple days with food poisoning. i haven't eaten anything other than oatmeal for three days... oh, i started a new story! i suppose i should post something, huh? well, maybe i will :) Enjoy the marvelous weather! <3 demyx

I want Spring

The mean radio told us more snow on Thursday. Quite frankly I'm tired of being cold and wet. The groundhog didn't see his shadow, so why can't Spring just get on with it already?! I want flowers and fresh green trees and heady fragrances wafting through the balmy air! I want to feel the adrenaline of Spring fever propelling me through the house cleaning this and that. Now, all I've got is cabin fever cause I can't go outside. It's Valentine's day on Monday, for crying out loud! Winter just does not want to get done! Well guess what?
